MA Jewellery - result:  Merit (yay)

My studies at the University for the Creative Arts (UCA)  was undertaken between 2017-2019.  Part time 2 year degree.  Initially considered doing a BA. Speaking with Rebecca (wonderful Tutor et al),  it seemed my experience and work seemed more in line with studying the MA.    So, student loan it was and two years later this was the accumulation of works.

My pieces made the local Farnham paper, which was an additional bonus.   A little gallery experience in the OXO tower and waving goodbye to a few more creations.  For the Degree Show at the end of the final year, my Art Thimbles were on display.  I loved making these and still have such fond memories.

Year 1:  looked at skills and knowledge, building a 'reflective practice portfolio' and creating new pieces in the area of 'Hiding in Plain Sight'  Drawing, playing, exploring and finding out what I like to do and what challenges me.

Year 2:  looked at picking apart and reconstructing the key performance outcome.   Hiding in Plain sight become Found objects, specifically thimbles.  Oh did I have fun with that one (or 100)

some of the pieces I made throughout the Degree are shown below.   Enjoy the fun, serious and downright silly.
