Hi I am Wallace
I enjoy making my own mounts (settings) rather than purchasing cast ones, and then setting of the stones in my own pieces using traditional techniques.
I do find great peace in giving a fresh look to old rings - almost like up-cycling, or a re-boot. My work follows a code of practice set out by the the Guild of Jewellers and hold Public Liability Insurance - do click on the pop up logo to see more information about it.
I have a small workshop that has the basic tools to help me make the pieces you see on my site. All my work over the statutory weight regulations is sent off for hallmarking. Any under regulatory weight, and wanted by you, can be sent off to London Assay office too.
All my knowledge and skills have been gained mostly as a result of getting involved in working with metal, reading books, specialist forums, watching some videos - if you have some time and would like a little giggle, Google, Arthur Ganson, Nancy L T Hamilton - (wonderful woman whom I turn to when I need a tonic).
I have been exploring jewellery creations for over 15 years, and became a full time jewellery artist at the end of 2013, and completed my first ever degree (MA Jewellery) in 2019.
Do stop by on Facebook and say hello if you have a moment and have not met me before. I often run competitions and link them with the wonderful people who are active on my page. It would be lovely to hear from you - speak soon.
