FAQ

Requirements / Limits

Happy to look at your ideas and what inspires you. Just a heads up, I don't copy the work of others, but am happy to make something inspired by that or from something you have designed. I can of course design something specially for you. I work in silver and gold. Can and do use a variety of gemstones

Design

We need to work out what you want - let's have a conversation either by email or message, or even in person.

Turn around

it takes approx. 6-12 weeks to complete a commission, once the design has been agreed, and an additional 10 working days for any Hallmarking to be done.

Cost

This can vary, but the starting point for all commissions is £60. I charge for my time, this is important to understand. Price will be confirmed before the work starts. This will increase if you want to change the design, but this will be confirmed as a variance to the work.

Metal costs vary, due to the nature of their daily fluctuation when being sourced
Gemstone costs will vary
Hallmarking costs - this is can vary between £8 - £30 depending on the metal, and how quickly it needs to be done.

Payment

A non-refundable deposit of 20% is required for all commissions in silver, and the cost of the metal for those in gold. However, If I cancel the commission, you will be fully refunded.

I accept PayPal and direct banking transfers in GBP. Payment in full is required prior to sending out to you. You are responsible for paying any fees related to import and VAT in your own country.

Post & Packaging

Your commission will be sent in one of my boxes with my logo on the inside. To keep it together in transit, and waste to a minimum, it is wrapped in biodegradable tissue and a satin ribbon. I use the Special Delivery Plastic envelope supplied by Royal Mail for UK deliveries, if you do not wish to collect in person.

In the UK (and currently the EU): P&P is £9.I use Royal Mail Special Delivery. It is trackable, insured, with next working day guaranteed delivery, which requires a signature.
Everywhere else: P&P starts at £12.99, (with the exception of Australia, which requires a courier service; this starts at £33.99). I use Royal Mail International Signed for. (DPD courier to Australia). It is trackable, insured and requires a signature upon delivery.

If you are happy with all of the above, do contact me on the form below. This will become the basis of our contract with each other, which will be available in writing. Your statutory and consumer rights are not affected.

Distance Selling Regulations: - Applying them to your purchase. If your commission is not a bespoke design, the following will apply:
Should you change your mind within 14 days of receiving your item; a refund of the item price will be made. It must be returned in unopened condition. You are responsible for appropriate return postage of the item. All my products have a 12 month guarantee, subject to normal use. Your statutory rights are of course part of any service offered.
